Creative Inspiration

In Fairy tales , Snow White lay asleep. Days and weeks drifted by and seasons changed without her noticing. They say a prince came to the rescue and kissed her back to life. Having no prince handy, I had to muddle my way back to the world on my own. And I have to say, I rather prefer it that way. Songstress Tarah McLean wrote
/and if I fall, I would find my way back to my hands. I'm the only one who can help me find my feet again.
I feel a bit like a child again. Relearning and rediscovering myself. Currently, there are several things fueling both mind and spirit. It started with a second hand find, Aha! 10 ways to free your creative spirit. by Jordan Ayan.
As children, we are creative without trying to be. Year after year, we unlearn all of our originality and replace it with the mundane. This book unlocks that lost potential and shows you how to use it to improve memory, improve at your job, and most importantly have FUN! This is not a dreary self-help tome. This is a an engaging and entertaining process of discovery. If your feeling stagnant, I recommend it highly. This morning I took my daughter and her boyfriend to my favorite Christian coffee house. Inside the cafe's tiny bookstore I felt drawn by the title The 5 dreams of every woman and how God wants to fulfill them. My internal self sort of clenched, then unclenched and I knew I had to have that book.
As women we have all had dreams we began as children. We wanted to loved, to be beautiful, to be a bride, and a mommy. We longed for those things that made us feel both cherished and divinely feminine. Most of us have or will experience the shattering of at least one of our dreams. This book identifies those dreams and the traps they fall prey to. When dreams and life collide, how do we go on? A bible study guide is included. I'm just a wee bit anxious to meet all this head on, but excited to work through it to the 'happy ending.' More on that later. It's good to be back. Peace, Ellen
